OurPetPolicy Pet & Assistance Animal Screening
At Copper Key Property Management, we strive to create a safe and enjoyable living experience for all of our residents while helping property owners protect their investments. To ensure a fair, consistent, and streamlined process, we partner with OurPetPolicy, a trusted third-party screening service, to review pet information and verify assistance animal documentation.
Why We Use OurPetPolicy
OurPetPolicy provides a standardized screening process that helps ensure all pet and assistance animal information is handled consistently and in compliance with applicable fair housing guidelines. Using a third-party verification system allows us to process requests efficiently while maintaining accurate records for every property.
Create Your OurPetPolicy Profile
All applicants and residents who will have a pet or are requesting an assistance animal accommodation must complete an OurPetPolicy profile using the link below:
https://scan.ourpetpolicy.com/lease-packet/E8ITPI
There is no cost to complete your OurPetPolicy profile.
If You Have a Pet
If you plan to have a pet in your home, you'll be asked to create an OurPetPolicy profile as part of the application or move-in process. During the screening, you will be asked to provide information such as:
- Pet breed, age, weight, and vaccination records
- Photos of your pet
- Veterinary information
- Additional pet history, if applicable
Once your profile has been reviewed and approved, we'll be notified so we can complete the approval process before your pet is brought onto the property.
Please note: All pets must be approved through OurPetPolicy and by Copper Key Property Management before being brought onto the property.
If You Have an Assistance Animal
Residents requesting approval for a service animal or emotional support animal (ESA) must also complete an OurPetPolicy profile.
As part of the verification process, you will be required to provide documentation from the healthcare provider who is treating you and recommending the assistance animal. OurPetPolicy will review the information and verify the documentation before notifying Copper Key Property Management of the determination.
Using a third-party verification service helps ensure that every request is handled consistently, fairly, and in accordance with applicable fair housing laws.
Please note: Approved assistance animals are not subject to pet fees, pet rent, or pet deposits, as required by applicable fair housing laws.
Already Have an Approved Pet?
If you add a new pet during your tenancy, you must complete a new OurPetPolicy profile and receive approval before bringing the pet onto the property.
